The short answer is anyone good
enough. But it helps if you love the Beat Generation and show some real
inheritance of their style.
Right now we have writers and
artists from Scotland, America, Taiwan and Australia. We have students, bums,
professional writers, professors, editors, Beat experts, weird artists, Olympic swimmers... Talent is all that really
matters.

your idea to the Beat Generation - the closer the link, the better.
Beatdom accepts essays on the Beat Generation or later countercultures.
The more innovative the idea, the more likely it is to be accepted. We
also sometimes accept poetry, but only if directly related to the Beats,
or simply fits the style of the issue.
